Q: What can I do about the air not being on at startup for Ford f150 2009 Platinum?
It's a little annoying to have to turn the air on every time you start the truck.
A: This question makes no sense. Why would you have to turn the A/C on when you are starting the truck? No vehicle expects you to do this.
Q: How many 2009 Ford F150 Platinum trucks were made in 2009?

A: I would say yes, probably need velcro down the side so it can give, other wise you would be defeating the purpose. Regular seat covers would not let the seat bag deploy, no side protection!
Q: It is a 2009 F150 Lariat with a sticker price of $39,825. What could i talk em down to?
A: New full size trucks in my area are currently marked down about $10,000 off sticker price. I think they will take between $30k and $35k if you give them time to think about it and stand firm. Even though gas is cheaper now, they are still not selling alot of full size trucks. Good luck!

I'm considering buying the new F150 but I would like to hear any complaints you may have about your truck.
Or anything you love about it.
A: I work on them for a living, and sold about 30 of them only 2 have been back for mechanical problems... One for the backup camera going on the blink, and the other had a vibration which turned out to be the guy didn't rotate the tires in 12,000 miles
Personaly, I really love the trucks and only complaint I don't like is the center area in that you are kind of stuff with the factory radio, however most manufacturers are doing that now.
Q: 2009 Ford F150 starter or battery issue?
i just got my 2009 ford f150 a while ago and the past couple of days when i go to start the truck it cranks for a little longer then it usually does. it has never done this, and all of the sudden it started to do this. is this a starter/battery issue? i took the truck into the dealer i got it from, (not impressed with their service) and they said "well, if it starts, it's fine" and refused to check it under warranty.
A: OK not to be rude, but What is a long time? I am a Ford master tech and can say that the dealer may not have given you the answer you wanted, but they are right if it starts its ok. Now here are some questions for you. What oil Filter is on your truck, Factory Ford Filter is required as the engine in you truck is very sensitive to oil pressure and can cause the delayed start concern. Fuel can Cause this also. how many miles are on your truck, if close to 30,000 then the fuel filter is due be changed. Do you have any afermarket equipment on the engine including especially the air filter. A K&N filter will cause all kinds of problems. I hope this give you some input. If all the above are ok and it has a Ford oil Filter then I agree that you need to take this message from me to the Dealer and Tell them to compare your truck to a like model with you. If your truck cranks significantly longer then they need to find out why.

so im probably gunna buy a new truck in a month and was wondering which to buy ..im looking for a crew cab ..2 wheel drive ..and a decent size v8..probably like the 5.3 liter in the chevy..this will be my first new truck so i really wana pick the better truck .. oh the most ill pay is about 25 k ..which would you guys recommend
A: The Silverado. The new F150 has just come out and there are bound to be kinks. GM has had 2 years to work out the kinks on their new truck/suv models. But then again, it is your choice, your money. Go for what you want because you will be driving it and the one to pay for it. Hope you enjoy your truck, take care.

A: They make a short harness you can purchase for your Ford dealer it is relatively easy to hook up from there comes with instructions parts are not expensive

I'm looking for a solid truck that I can take offroading and also enjoy driving on the road. I've narrowed the list to the F150 and the Silverado, so any opinions?
A: The Ford FX4 and Chevy Z71 off-road packages are pretty comparable. They both offer stiffer shocks, skid plates and rear locker. The SVT Raptor however is a different animal altogether, and is far more competent than the standard silverado or F-150 when it comes to off-road driving.
@Diesel: The OP wasn't talking about diesel pickups. The 5.3L Chevy does have 5 more HP than the 5.4L Ford, but the Ford out tourques it by 27 ft.lbs. (365 vs. 338).

A: It's not easy to say how much, because they're so many different options and trim lines. Go to kbb.com and start with the cab size, 4.6 L engine or 5.4 L engine and number of valves, bed size, other options like stereo upgrades or cloth/leather seats.
Sorry that you probably just want a straight answer, but there's so many different configurations for that truck that it could mean a used one will be as low as $20,000 or as high as $40,000.
Q: My 2009 Ford F150 has a recall problem, should have got a Dodge Truck?
A: recalls happen on all makes and models so buying a dodge wont have meant you would not had a recall on it,ford builds as god truck we all know that ,but i prefer a dodge any day because their a lot easier to work on,just take it in and get it repaired,its free,so it wont cost you nothing,good luck.

A: Demo's are comming out in late september or early october. My dad owns a ford dealership and thats what he had told me because im looking at getting one also. The date is unknown of when they are comming to the dealership. He was told that when the first shippment comes out thier will only be 3-5 per dealership depending on size. My dad holds around 150 new cars on his lot. He thinks he will be getting 4 of them. Im playing the waiting game now. If you are serious about buying one then contact your local ford dealer and see if they will hold one for you. My dad is holding one for me but he wont let me take it for two weeks because he is going to put it on the showroom floor. Im okay with that I guess. Well good luck!!!!
Q: Grinding sound from my new 2009 F150?
Dont know much about trucks but when I was towing the sleds there was a bad grinding sound, almost like its coming from the wheel barring. Truck seems fine but struggles a little from stop. Grinding sound is pretty loud. Doesnt sound healthy.
A: don,t fool with it. take it back to where you bought it at. that truck still has the warranty.
